Sowt genre of Bahrain. Singer and ‘ūd player is Dahi Ben Walid, who lived from 1896/1898 to 1941/1951. Supported by violin and drum (mirwās?), chorus (call-response), and hand clapping. Very short musical introduction (violin and ‘ūd). A percussive way of playing the lute. Indicating on the label ('Ashouri') the piece is of Assyrian (Iraq) origin.
