Recorded outside the school by Ahmed Oduka while waiting. Schoolboy group. All items recorded by Ahmed Oduka as continuation of the African Studies Programme visit to Karamoja. Notes and data by Ken A Gourlay except where stated. Song for dancing bul: Anyira tirjii - The girls are beautiful all the time. Sung here by boys of the school in the Labwor dialect of the Acholi language. Normally sung by all while dancing the popular dance Bul. The text includes the phrase 'This girl's face, shining like Tilley lamp'.
