  • Description

George Ewart Evans interviews Mrs Grace Cooper, wife of Herbert Cooper. As a child she visited John and Alfred Munnings (Alfred Munnings, painter, President of Royal Academy). She remembers the flood of 1912 and that Waverly Bridge, between Mendom and Halston, was rebuilt by German prisoners of war. Then she talks about her jobs in service, at a rectory in Sprawton, near Ipswich, for Archdeacon Lawrence in Little Bealing and for a Mrs Aldridge in Great Bealing.
