    Part 5 (Tape 3 Side B): Options towards the end of time at school; visiting prospective employers. New college in Leeds ‘The Branch College of Commerce’ in Park Lane. People with disabilities were allowed to attend the school, although they needed to pass the normal entrance exam. Studying for the entrance exam; help from a teacher, Mrs Hill. Started at Park Lane in the September, aged 15. Mixed classes at Park Lane. Only person with disabilities in the class. Passed five RSA certificates after 12 months; second year at Park Lane to do O Levels; RSA Stage Two Commercial Arithmetic. Taking a typing course. New-found freedom from attending school. Relationship and contact with girls whilst at school and college. Support from parents to stay in education. Further qualifications through night school. Barriers preventing JH attending full-time education.
