This is a dubbing of a recording made in 1964. This is a Swazi topical song sung by a solo male voice and accompanied by the makhweyane bow. The song is about marriage arrangements according to the Swazi ilobolo custom. Ilobolo is a dowry arrangement in which the bridegroom pays dowry in the form of cattle to the bride's father. The lyrics of this song explain that the marriage negotiations cannot begin until the groom presents the father with the first cow (Rycroft, D., 1970, Zulu Swazi and Xhosa Instrumental and Vocal Music, Tevuren: Musée royal de l' Afrique centrale & Belgische Radio and Televisie, pg. 12).
