    several common toads were active in the pond before the microphone. Some of the toads were in the amplexus; males were trying to mount females - or other males. Mating and release calls are heard. One or two common frogs are giving their mating calls nearby. the microphone was positioned in dead reed vegetation at the edge of the pond. Long lead used
