Description
Known as The Patton Brothers and Barry Chuckle, Jimmy and Brian are the sons of Gene Patton the Comedian/whistler/dancer and older brothers of Paul and Barry, The Chuckle Brothers. Jimmy started in 1946 in The Dead End Kids and then appeared as second Comic to his father. Brian started in 1949 with Billy West and his Boys. Billy played the piano, his daughter sang and the boys harmonised. In 1954 Jimmy and Brian joined forces and became a double act in Honky Tonk. They appeared in Variety, did a season at the London Palladium and later performed in the Theatre Clubs and Working Men’s Clubs. The Chuckle Brothers started as The Harmon Brothers in 1963 and now have their own children’s TV series in which The Patton Brothers frequently appear. All four brothers appear in the Chuckle Brothers tours and in 2009 The Patton Brothers will be appearing in their 50th pantomime. [Interview recorded at the Royal&Derngate, Northampton].
