Description
Rex Roper born in 1919. His father was a Texas Ranger and champion sharpshooter. Rex saw Will Rogers in The Ziegfield Follies in America and was inspired to perform a rope-spinning act. With his sister Enid he toured the USA as Rex Roper and Maisie. Later with his first wife, he toured as Rex Roper and Billie the Kid. After many tours throughout Europe in theatre, cabaret and circus, Rex appeared in The Silver City American Adventure Park in Derbyshire. In 1992 he won the Gold Award for roping and showmanship, Senior Division at the Will Rogers Ranch in Hollywood, California.
