    Mary Naylor, stage debut at the Empire, Nottingham, aged twelve with Jack Hylton. Early television when only 500 television sets in the country. Appeared at the London Palladium in Band Wagon in the ‘Youth Takes a Bow’ section along with Dickie Henderson (aged 16) and Ernie Wise (aged 13). Eric Bartholomew (Eric Morcambe) joined the tour. After further performances at the London Palladium, in Revue, Pantomime and on radio, in 1946 she joined Sam Browne to become a Top of the Bill Variety act. She married Jack Kodell in 1953. Later she had her own TV series, appeared in Champagne on Ice and topped the bill in Variety. She now lives with Jack in Orlando, Florida. [Interview recorded in her home in Florida, USA].
