Item notes : This is the Christmas edition of the magazine programme 'Africa Abroad'. This programme features some of the highlights of the year including music played by the Gambian musician Banna Kanoute [?]. This is followed by and excerpt from an indigenous Xhosa song taken from the South African musical 'King Kong'. There is also a musical excerpt performed by the Bawola people [?] location of these people unclear , possibly Northern Mozambique. This does not seem to be the broadcast version of this programme since most of the items introduced are not included.
