Joined the army aged 15 and posted to Ireland, China and England. Both parents from Swinton. Father was an engineer in a coal mine. Can read and write in English. Religion: Protestant. Occupation: soldier (trumpet player). Item note: Albert reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son (taken from Luke chapter XV, verse 11-32).
