Hid father came from Dundoland and his mother from Glasgow. He can read and write in English and Scottish. Lists Scottish as his mothertongue. Religion: Protestant. Occupation: pedler. Item note: James reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son (taken from Luke chapter XV, verse 11-32).
