Speaker's note: Aged 31 and from Prestbury (near Cheltenham), Gloucestershire, England. Born on 2 October 1885 in Prestbury. Lived in Prestbury until the age of 3, when he moved to Felfield, then at 17 he became a soldier going to London and Aldershot. His father was from Chippenham, Wiltshire and his mother from Mere, Wiltshire. Can read and write in English. Answers yes to the question 'Can you sing/play music?' Instrument: Organ. Religion: Protestant. Occupation: organist. Item note: Percy reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son (taken from Luke chapter XV, verse 11-32).
