Speaker's note: Aged 32 at the time of the recording and from Aberdeen, Scotland. Born in 1884. Both his parents were from Aberdeen. At the age of 17 he moved to India, and from the age of 20 to 30 in Cartridge, Aberdeen. Went to public school in Aberdeen. Can read and write in Scot. Religion: Presbyterian. Occupation: labourer. Item note: Robert reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son (taken from Luke chapter XV, verse 11-32)
